Dr. Dossick is a Professor of Construction Management and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Built Environments. Dr. Dossick has over a decade of research and teaching experience primarily focused on emerging collaboration methods and technologies such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). As the lead Principal Investigator on the project, she led the project’s research design and final tool, including consulting on the development of the project delivery method criteria, survey development, and final tool design, as well as supervised the project team.

Renée Cheng

Renée Cheng is dean of the College of Built Environments (CBE). Cheng has pioneered research surrounding the intersection of design and emerging technologies, including work on industry adoption of Integrated Project Delivery, Building Information Modeling and Lean. As Co-Investigator, she has been integral to the project’s research design, consulted on project delivery method characteristics and selection criteria, and provided key input on the tool’s design. She has presented the project at the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and the Construction Owners Association of America (COAA).
Laura Osburn
Senior Research Scientist, Construction Management, College of Built Environments, University of Washington

Laura is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Construction Management. As Co-PI on the BOAT project, Laura used her expertise in organizational and management studies to develop a framework of decision-making characteristics and hypothesize their affects on different project delivery decision-making criteria. She also assisted in survey development.

Lingzi Wu

Lingzi Wu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Construction Management at the University of Washington. As an interdisciplinary scholar, Dr. Wu’s research focuses on advancing digital transformation in construction. Her current research interests include integrating advanced data analytics and complex system modeling to improve construction performance, sustainability, and equity. With her industry experience, Dr. Wu closely collaborates with industry partners, and many of her research outcomes have been successfully implemented by industry collaborators.

Daniel Dimitrov
PhD Student, College of Built Environments, University of Washington
Daniel is a PhD student and researching emerging building technologies. He was a Research Assistant on the project and conducted a literature of integrated project delivery selection criteria. He was integral to creating the project delivery criteria framework and built the initial BOAT tool.
Xianxiang Sean Zhao
PhD Student, College of Built Environments, University of Washington
Sean is a Ph.D. student interested in emerging technology in the AEC industry. He is also focused on using data-driven approaches to empower decision-making processes. He served as a Research Assistant on a project, where he conducted survey analysis. Additionally, he played an integral role in creating the final BOAT tool.
